Welcome back to our Bengals and their families! We are so excited to enter the last stretch of our 2024-2025 school year! We hope all had an amazing week, filled with fun family moments!
We have a few items this week:

- As part of our Home and School (Friends of the Bengals) startup process, we will be sharing more and more volunteering opportunities at Bessborough. Here is where you can go if you would like to start the volunteer certification process: https://asdeast.nbed.ca/volunteer-in-a-school/ The process can take a few weeks. More volunteering information coming soon!
- Our second clothing store is now closed. We will open the store at least one more time this year! We will announce it in April, as part of a weekly email!
- We are happy to support students who are observing Ramadan this month. We know it is a time of reflection and celebration in the Islamic culture- we also know that families may choose to observe this month in a variety of ways. For students who are fasting and/or praying, we have set aside room 208 as a place where they can go during food times at school. If there is any way we can support your children further during this month, please feel free to reach out to their classroom teacher and/or the cultural support teacher Julie.Murray@nbed.nb.ca
- As always, we encourage all students to come fully prepared for the conditions. We are outside during morning/recess/lunch recess if the wind chill doesn’t reach minus 20 degrees Celsius or less (let’s hope those days are behind us!). We have extra hats, mitts, and jackets. We can share every day out of room 208 (next to the office).
- The Great Big Crunch is Friday, March 14th at Bessborough School. Every student will get an apple, and we will all take one big bite of our apples at 11 AM. Please let your child’s teacher know if there are allergies. We can provide an alternative!
