We only have 5 days left together this school year! It is hard to believe we are there already.

Our Grade 5 students visited Wabanaki school last week, and our grade 5 Bengals are ready for their next big adventure! It is a bittersweet time for us, but we know they will accomplish amazing things and represent us so well next year 🙂

At the same time, our new Bengals coming into kindergarten are just around the corner!

Here are a few things happening this week:

  • We start back up on September 2nd, 2025.  We will be sending more details about start times, schedules, and homeroom teachers the previous week 🙂
  • Terry Fox fundraiser. We are pleased to announce that Bessborough School placed first in New Brunswick for all Elementary schools in fundraising for the Terry Fox event this year. Thank you so much for the amazing support! It makes us proud to have contributed to a great cause! They even sent us our own emblem (see attached)!
  • Sunscreen is a great idea at this time of year. We will be going outside more during physical education, events, and during some outdoor learning time. Please feel free to send sunscreen with students, and we will remind them to apply it 🙂
  • Lost and Found: Please see the attached picture from this week!
  • Alternate conveyance forms are here for September. Please fill in this form and send it back to school if you need an alternate location for bussing next year, or email it to donnaj.lewis@nbed.nb.ca
  • If your family is experiencing food insecurity, please know that you are not alone. Bessborough School families can access support through 211 (https://211.ca).

Have a great week!
