We have a few items this week at Bessborough School:

• Family Literacy Day is coming up on January 27^th, 2025. We will celebrate literacy all week at Bessborough School with different activities every day. We will also invite parents/guardians to come to Bessborough for Family Literacy Lunch on January 31^st to read with our students. We will also have used books to take home! We have sent an information sheet home on blue paper. Please return it to homeroom teachers by Tuesday. 😊

• We have our monthly Bengal Pride Assembly this Friday afternoon. We will celebrate student success, and ‘Doing the Right Thing’ prize winners!

• The remainder of our clothing order has not come in yet. We appreciate your patience. We are working with a different provider for our next wave of clothing. Details are coming soon!

• Green student demographics sheets have been sent home. Please ensure that all details are accurate, and them returned to the homeroom teacher.

It’s still cold (but should warm up this week!). We encourage all students to come fully prepared for the conditions. We are outside during morning/recess/lunch recess if the wind chill doesn’t reach minus 20 degrees Celsius or less. We have an array of extra hats, mittens, and jackets that we can share every day out of room 208 (next to the office). They are used once and then washed.
