We have a few items this week:
- Term 2 report cards will be sent home on April 11th at the end of the school day!
- Our next no-school days are April 18th and 21st (Good Friday, and Easter Monday). Also, here is a link to the ASDE school calendar: https://asdeast.nbed.ca/calendar/
- Our final clothing store will open over the next two weeks, to ensure deliveries around the beginning of June 2025. I will be sending the new store link and flyer when it is up and running!
- Nut Free Policy: In New Brunswick schools, a strict nut-free policy is in place to ensure the safety of students with life-threatening allergies. This means that all food brought to school must be free of peanuts, tree nuts, and products containing them. Even trace amounts can trigger severe allergic reactions, so we ask all families to carefully read labels and avoid sending any nut-based items. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Dropoff times: For the safety of all students, our designated drop-off times are between 7:45 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. Staff supervision is available during this time to ensure a safe and smooth arrival. Please avoid dropping off students earlier, as supervision is not provided before 7:45 a.m. We also encourage parents to arrive a few minutes before 8:10 to help avoid late arrivals and ensure students are settled and ready for the day. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and on time!
- If your family is experiencing food insecurity, please know that you are not alone. Bessborough School families can access support through 211 (https://211.ca), a free and confidential service that connects people to local food resources and community programs. Help is just a call or click away—211 is available 24/7 to guide you to the support you need.
- Please find attached a flyer for an upcoming webinar “Caring for Anxious Children” that will be provided by Kari Deschambault, school social worker. This webinar is for parents and educators and will be held April 30th from noon until 1:15pm. Keeping in mind this is for parents/ educators of students from Anglophone East school district.
