We have a few items this week at Bessborough School:

• Our Family Literacy Lunch on January 31^st was a great success! Thank you so much for coming in and reading with our students. It was a beautiful sight to see so many families having an indoor picnic and reading together 😊

• The pre-kindergarten event dates are finalized for this year. We will be sending a separate email this week to families on the ‘Pre-K’ list. If you have a future Bengal starting with us in September 2025, they will come for a visit on these dates:
  • February 12^th – (4-5 PM)
  • June 13^th – (morning) 

• Our second clothing store is opening soon! We are working with a new partner, and we cannot wait for you to see our new clothing!

• Lost and Found items are spread on tables outside of the gym. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher if you are looking for an item and would like to browse the tables. We will leave the items there this week and start looking into donations next week!

• Green student demographics sheets have been sent home. Please ensure all sheets have been signed and returned to the homeroom teacher.

• It’s still cold (but the days are getting longer!) We encourage all students to come fully prepared for the conditions. We are outside during morning/recess/lunch recess if the wind chill doesn’t reach minus 20 degrees Celsius or less.  We have an array of extra hats, mitts, and jackets. We can provide materials every day out of room 208 (next to the office). They are used once and then washed. We also remind students on the announcements every day!
